WHAT!?!? "Avoid all chocolate?!?" Surely that is cruel and unjust punishment. And, it's Valentine's Day!

Chocolate, nitrites, and nitrates are all vasodilators. I believe the vasoconstrictive part of chocolate is actually the caffeine. Also, alcohol at different consumption levels can act as either a vasodilator or constrictor.

got to agree with you there whyrwehere on the coconut, especially coconut oil, which we use to lightly sautee veggies, no longer using olive oil to cook, only crude, or cold after we cook. it's a much more stable oil to cook with. and you don't need very much, a little goes a long way.
Beauty tip: I also use coconut oil on my face.

I do, however, use it minimally because of its saturated fat content, like the coconut milk light instead of regular, but not too often.

I would like to know the connection between coconut and vasoconstricter, though? Is there evidence of this?

Did some quick googling .. the list seems some good advice in a bit of bad context.
coconut oil - very high in saturated fat (admittedly the internet swings wildly on it's pos/neg benefits)

nitrites/nitrates - I wondered about this one as on their own they are vasodilators. I guess when added as preservatives to the highly processed, 'bad' fat foods they've listed, the benefits are lost.
Bacon, Ham. Sausage (most kinds), Hot Dogs, Luncheon meats (most), Deviled Ham, Cold Cuts, Canned meats, Pork and Beans,
Smoked Fish, Corned Dogs

still the best..
