Are we talking Inclined Bed Therapy here or something altogether different?

Anyway if it's IBT - I also have sleep Apnea and sleep with a CPAP machine every night. Mrs M has MS and has had CCSVI treatement.

Our first few nights were odd, I'd find myself sliding down the bed and it felt altogether strange, however after a few nights it felt normal and now when we go away on holiday now a flat bed feels odd.

Experiment with pillows, it could be as simple as that.

We lifted the head end of the bed 100mm (4"). Any more than that doesn't work for us.

We're not all the same - try different lifts, but give each one a week at least - going from level to inclined is always going to be odd to start with.

Adjustment period - yes, give it week. The body is going to find it odd but it will become accustomed to it.

I was in my late 30's before I was diagnosed with Apnea - after my snoring reached world record proportions and I'd lost marriage as a result. CPAP therapy transformed my life - really, I'm not overstating it. I didn't realise what a full night's sleep was until my late 30's.

It was me that suggested IBT to Emma - it stopped the "thick head" headaches she used to wake up with, but it took both of us at least 4 nights before we didn't feel as though we were trying to sleep on a hill.

It now feels perfectly normal.

f i could just chime in here with a ditto to giving it a week before making changes.
we are all different, for sure.
i've done the gamit and my hubbie and i enjoy 6 inches the best.
he has sleep apnea, but breathes fully at this height. i feel refreshed in the am, better than ever before. he loves it too.
when we were at 7 inches i never felt right, dropped it to 4 for months, but found 6 our magic number.

I had trouble with 2", so I can imagine what an instant 4" must feel like. Good luck!

We have ours 4". My husband has sleep apnea and uses a CPAP. I have MS. It took a little getting used to, but we both feel now that we are at our best because of having done it! My hands are not numb at all when I wake up (but progress to numbness not long after that). I see that as a benefit to have that short period of normal hands. He feels he gets a better sleep now. Hope it works out for you guys.
