Recall of coronary IVUS catheters by Boston Scientific

"Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE: BSX) announced that it is voluntarily recalling all of its iCross™ Coronary Imaging Catheters used in intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) imaging in patients who are candidates for transluminal coronary interventional procedures. "

I don't know if this coronary catheter is used for venous IVUS applications, but never the less, it indicates that as with any procedure, IVUS imaging does have risks. My wife had an IVUS procedure and it went smoothly thankfully and I hope no one experiences the problems the article describes. I'm not trying to alarm any PwMS who is seeking CCSVI diagnosis or treatment - just awareness.
