Hello all,
some members in "CCSVI finland" are interested about treatment in "private scan" in Belgium. The price seems fine, was about 4600 euros (examination + treatment). But don't know the place, so Im curious to hear your (who have been there) comments? Tell me all :D

I don't know anything about the Belgium CCSVI clinic. However, it would be best to read through Dr. Sclafani's thread to get a good overview of some of the latest developments in treatment. For example, avoid stents if possible, use IVUS to correctly size the angioplasty balloons and find the true stenoses from the dynamic narrowings that can occur with changes in body position or with breathing. It seems to be the case that the goal is to minimize injury to the veins while allowing for sufficient treatment. Lastly, a good follow-up treatment plan is critical, e.g., anticoagulants and rechecking of the veins to ensure good flow.

Thank you NHE. I have red sir Sclafani's exellent posts.. and it really seems that there happens developments with procedures. My wife was treated in Poland a year ago with exellent results, so I quess they did it right. But looks like new clinics offer treatments and sometimes it's difficult to know about their expertise about CCSVI.

Hi Ernst,
Have you tried searching the forum for 'Belguim'? I just did and got ~180 hits. Some people have said that they've been treated there. You might want to try sending them a PM to get some feedback on their experiences there.
