The distribution of CSF is on the outside of the brain, would not explain gray matter degredation, iron deposition in the thalmus, enlarged veins, and lesions we see like Dawson's Fingers in MS, which all occur deep inside brain tissue. CSF surrounds the outside tissue...
I thought the ventricles, full of CSF, were deep, inside the deepest brain tissue??
And MS is known for its periventricular lesions....

There is a factor in MS that is often misunderstood or more likely overlooked because of the language used.
Skull design in European decent people is different structurally than other skulls. The spaces and position of the brain within the skull predisposes it problems related to fluid flow and contact between the brain and skull at the skull base.
This is where Dr. Flanagan is second to none in his understanding of issues found in de-generative diseases such as MS.
The fluid flows are different with ethnicity. The shapes and passages are different and for this reason for instance the MS form Devics Disease is more common in Asian decent people whereas there is more Optic involvement with African design of skulls.(Correct me if I got that wrong please Dr. F, memory fade). This is well documented yet overlooked in understanding the fluid flows of blood and CSF.
When there are the added malformations within veins, mainly valves then there an increase of causation of diseases that are associated with brain flow of blood and CSF.
There is a lot of information that needs to be cross referenced and then discussed in the context of MS and each of the other de-generative diseases.
Keep thinking and talking ;)

cece, we all love dr. zambonni-he surely did get things moving in a different direction and if not for the internet it would have been shelfed covered up etc. just as dr. shelling and other greats.

but i hope you don't take this wrong because you bring a lot to this site----but what planet are you on that zambonni has this figured out? "or anyone else totally??" if he does, "please" send the ship to pick me up because i'm gonna go there.

they are working on it--"practiceing medicine" on us.

they "do not" have it figured out and there is a lot of work to be done to prevent problems after angioplasty. and they are really at the tip of the icebergh with all this.

yet here is dr. flanagan that has so much to offer with his knowledge and soon with the upright mri's and other chiro.'s takeing this beast by the tail
like it or not their work and knowledge is gonna come into play more and more with all of this. and i'm sure if we think zambonni had a time--wait until some in what think "their little world" of command are threatened with shareing even a little glory with what i've picked up on as being a lower species "chiro.'s" in their world of "practiceing" medicine.

i am becoming more and more pissed off that instead of welcomeing dr. flanagan or dr. shelling and others that will be a great piece of the puzzle in trying to get this figured out some are chooseing to just ignore----and it is wasting valuable time. but what the hell we got all the time in the world. yeah right!! doesn't anybody get it- don't the dr.'s get it-we need all their expertee in many fields "working together"!!!

civickiller, you do understand. you are one that got some relief from your symptoms and if they fade you get adjusted again. there is not the worry you are clotting or scarring or loose a precious vein maybe forever.

this is not knocking ccsvi--it simply means there is a lot of figureing out to do.

and the push has to come from us as we pushed for zambonni.

there are some that like wearing blinders--i don't. you and others took them off now let's hope the medical world does.

CSF surrounds the outside tissue...here's a good explanation on how CSF is absorbed in the brain. It explains the difference between the blood brain barrier (which encapsulates all the brain) and the arachnoid villi.
I never heard of the BBB being described this way. The BBB is physically the walls of the blood vessels (arteries and veins) inside the brain; the walls are made up of very tight junctions between endothelial cells, and these tight junctions keep out most large molecules that circulate in blood. When a weakness occurs in the lining of the vessel wall, immune cells can slip through the vessel wall out of the blood stream and into the delicate brain tissue. Watch this amazing video: http://www.physorg.com/news176652011.html (scroll down to the video). Ewwww. I hate the thought of anything crawling around in my brain.

2. ccsvi surgery, if i still need it

i am in a wheelchair, now i am standing till i voluntarily sit down. alittle bit of muscle strengthening, i dont think ill need the surgery. could be wrong, maybe its just wishful thinking lol
