a thread for giving thanks

As a community, we have been through so much this past year, and the year before that. We've had hope, we've had fear, we've had disappointment, we've had the return of health, we've had the loss of health. The science is moving fast compared to the usual pace of science, but it is moving slow from the perspective of patients waiting on answers.

I'd like to come together and give thanks. Let's post what we are thankful for, whether big or small.

I am thankful for Dr. Zamboni. A brilliant mind, with a brilliant discovery.

I second that emotion! I am thankful first and foremost for Dr Zamboni. From there the list covers the big names performing CCSVI treatment and those researching, the pioneers who have undergone treatment, the TIMS and facebook communities, and our friends & family who are supportive of this journey. Blessings galore with hope and gratitude!

i'm thankful for the roof over my head and the food in my cupboard and things in life that many take for granted.

i'm thankful that i have lived long enough to see research for this horrible disease take a new direction and everyone makeing it possible. hopefully next yr. we will all be giving thanks that we are getting better because of it. and the newbies won't have to go through what some of us has.

even though life can get pretty bleak, i could fill the page with things to be thankful for.

i have met and talked with some really amazing and wonderful people here at tims--and i'm very thankful for that.

i wish everyone here the very best!

I give thanks to the 'net which allowed Drs. S & Z to echange emails. I firmly believe that *this* would've been shelved indefinitely if it were not for the WWW. And for the 00s of friends I've made here and elsewhere. Cat is outta the bag.

I'm most thankful for my family. I have a wonderful wife, two wonderful daughters and 5 grandkids I adore. I'm thankful for Dr. Zamboni and Dr. Sclafani and all the other IRs who have given us hope. I'm thankful for Dr. Flanagan who presents another theory that also gives us hope. I'm thankful for having a roof over my head and food to eat. I'm thankful for having 62 years of good life. The MS thing isn't much fun, but on the other hand I've outlived my two best friends from high school by many years. Of the three of us I'm the lucky one. If I dropped dead tomorrow I would have no right to complain, although I hope that won't happen. :-)

Oh yes, I'm thankful for Cece who always brings a positive note to this forum and for all the others at TIMS who share their lives with us.
