While death is 100% certain death from ccsvi treatment risk maybe a different %age. I think the apostle Paul said to die is gain. Sure nobody wants to engage in behavior that hastens their departure from this life. I'm not so attasched to it that leaving would upset me because this world is not my home. I'm just visiting. Perspective is important. While these deaths were unfortunate, living life is not risk free. Maybe some think that the risks are understated. It was a risk I was willing to take. I figured there was more to be gained than lost.

1 in 5000 is sound estimate

I gave an estimate of 1 death per 5000 treatments as my best data. That is as scientific as this type of statistics gets, I am afraid. Hidden in the top level number are lots of statistics which we do not know but 1 in 5000 is justifiable in statistics.
The questions for pwMS are:
- what is my approach to risk ??
- can I afford the diagnosis, procedure and aftercare ??
These are personal choices.
CCSVI advocates should not be afraid of giving such data to madendj, Malden or anyone else.

I died following my Liberation procedure, but I was immediately resurrected and promptly given the Heimlich maneuver with the Jaws of life, and my Timex watch kept ticking through it all. So don''t be afraid of a little Death. It builds character.

You're awesome, 1eye.

There are plenty of us celebrating our procedure days as if they were birthdays.
