does anyone have an occluded internal jugular vein and have you been able to do anything to get this to open?

if you can pose your question directly to Dr. Sclafani (he has a QA thread here), he might be able to answer.

I also have both IJV occluded (luckily many collaterals) and I'm interested in any reply to this thread...

There are definitely people here in this situation. I would expect this thread to get responses if you are patient.

Possible treatments for an occluded jugular might be a rendez-vous procedure, RF ablation, or a jugular vein graft. If you have an occlusion, there may be more possibilities for angioplastic treatment the day after it occludes than there are three months later, because of the damaging effect the occlusion has on the vein itself.

I hate that occlusions happen to anyone.
