The pulsatile tinnitus immediately disappeared after the patient recovered from anesthesia. Although no recurrence was seen during the procedure, the patient developed a small cerebellar area of ischemia, resulting in an ataxic walk, which progressively disappeared during the next 2 months.
I was reading through this article on the stenting of a sigmoid sinus to treat a diverticulum there, which is something that could potentially be seen in a CCSVI patient, and all seemed well and good until I reached the above quote. Ischemia as a complication of sinus stenting? I wonder how and why that occurred. There was no further mention of it in the article, and the procedure was considered a success.

Dr. Arata mentioned over at CCSVI Locator that he had put stents in the sinuses of 8 patients.
