JACR is the Journal of the American College of Radiology.
Why do the negative research or opinion pieces on CCSVI get away with the inflammatory titles? It does not come across as particularly professional.
The “Liberation Procedure” for Multiple Sclerosis: Sacrificing Science at the Altar of Consumer Demand

There is no abstract or text available without paying. There are however the MRI images showing the subdural hematoma that was suffered, as previously reported, by a patient following a CCSVI procedure about a year ago. Frightening images.

I found a handout on subdural hematomas: http://fromyourdoctor.com/topic.do?titl ... oma&t=3487
Anticoagulants are listed as a known risk factor for subdural hematomas. Anticoagulants such as heparin are used during venoplasty, and pradaxa or another anticoagulant is often taken immediately after the procedure.

Dr. Brant-Zawadzki sounds fantastic. Would love to have this guy on our side conducting research. Instead he is the one who approached the FDA and contributed to the recently released FDA letter.

Subdural hematomas are by no means always fatal. If you burst a large artery, I would expect death may result, but there can be a lot of blood in an injury to your head, and no symptoms besides a bump and pain.
