The measurement of improvements seems to be the issue.
This was an unblinded, observational study on patients whose veins may or may not have remained open over the course of the observational study, and who were treated by different IRs all of whom have vastly different techniques.
It makes for a poor headline though.
I guess those were unmeasurable aspects of physical and psychological well-being?Sullivan said the study resulted in "no measurable, objective benefit."
However people enrolled in the study reported "physical and psychological well-being" as a result of the treatment.
