I want one of THESE! How much are they....

Although I think most is arterial, it actually displays moving images. Although I am not certain it wasn't built from multiple scans. Still neat if it can be done for the vascular system.

It also has scans of oxygen locations, and interestingly, it mentions a disease called "chronic cerebrovascular disease".

I have to read through more closely but I did see that part of it is BOLD fMRI which is what the Hubbards were doing.

The "I want one of THESE" reminds me of the iphone medical accessory I saw awhile back, which was a doppler ultrasound attachment for an iphone, for around $7000. I want that. :)

Unfortunately, recumbant MRI's are the prevalent method of imaging everywhere. Most of our head and neck drainage problems and primary symptoms occur when we are upright and subject to gravity. Recumbant technology is inadequate for imaging our problems. Dr. Flanagan, Upright Doc, has done an exceptional job of bringing this to light.. You can have all the recumbant MRI's you want with any protocol available and it will not reveal what an upright image does in MS and CCSVI

Another unfortunate thing is there are relatively few upright MRI's available in comparison to recumbant and none of them yet have the revolutionary new technology that Dr. Rosa has developed with Dr. Danadian at FONAR Corporation. Most facilities have invested heavily in recumbant scanners, so they will continue to be the scan prescribed by our physicians until we educate them.

I have had Dr. Rosa's upright images and they make my previous recumbant images look archaic. The degree of detail and isolation of CSF flow problems was dramatic, diagnostically accurate and a giant step toward understanding the actual nature of my symptoms.

This is the direction science must go to get to the root of our problems. We are wasting time and money with recumbant MRI's.
