EHC Scotland - Better results from Jaw treatment than CCSVI

I replied to a thread on the MS Society forum last night, what fun that turned out to be! Damn they are an aggressive/defensive lot.

Anyhow one of the early posts was this which surprised me:-

When I rang the Essential Health Clinic in Edinburgh about CCSVI they informed me that treatment for TMJ has been having a better impact in treating MS than CCSVI. I am very sceptical about these things especially as I have spent too much money to date on trying to improve my health. I do have pain sometimes in my jaw but always thought it was due to severe blow I had in the jaw about 25 years ago with a hockey ball!

Have the EHC changed tack? Are they still offering CCSVI and has anyone else had or heard this response from them?

I know little of the jaw treatment that they offer so can't comment on it, I know they have referred some patients to Dr Amir in London but not how many.

It hasn't been clear if EHC is still offering CCSVI venoplasty. They finished a cycle of research and are in the process of analyzing it, as far as I know.

Do you know anyone who had jaw treatment who didn't previously have CCSVI venoplasty? It might be that the effects were accumulative.

To be honest Cece it's a bit sketchy what the EHC were offering in the way of Jaw treatment.

I'm not entirely sure if it was being offered in addition to, instead of or as a result of unsuccessful CCSVI.

MarkW is the man on this forum with the inside line to EHC I was hoping he'd heard something.

I am communicating to you from Canada. I had the CCSVI procedure in California in June 2011 and my viens started to close up again around October 2011. I spoke with my surgeon (Dr. Arata) in California and he reviewed my MRI and advised me that I have a compression problem and no matter how many times I have my veins opened they will always close up again as long as the compression is there. He advised me to speak with a Neuro Muscular Dentist to deal with my TMJ. To make a long story short, I went to a Neuro Muscular Dentist here in Barrie, Ontario, Canada and had a night bite plate made for my mouth and have been wearing it faithfully and my veins have reopened. I never thought in a million years that my crooked teeth could affect so much. I now know how important it is to keep your jaw in line and how it can affect your health when it is out of line.

Really glad to hear this, Marlene. It must have been a skull base compression?

The TMJ was putting pressure on the upper left internal juglar vein.

TMJ is the jaw joint? Do you know if it was constant compression or "physiological" where it was sometimes compressed and sometimes not, depending on if the jaw was in movement (eating, talking, ?)

All I know is that the jaw was out of allignment and making the muscles very tight and I believe it was the pressure of the tight muscles that was putting a constant pressure on the internal jugular vein. Once the jaw was in allignment with the bight plate and things were more relaxed, it took the pressure off. I have always had a tendency to clinched my teeth together as well.

When I first started posting about the TMJ and Atlas asymmetry as a possible cause of so called "MS" I got a lot of stick. I think the tide has finally turned and my hypothesis is going to become the mainstay of "MS" treatment.

As EJC well knows we are getting amazing results and a lot of the patient postings are on a different forum showing graphically the improvements being made. It also shows that the recovery is too rapid for a healing of "brain lesions" to have taken place. In fact it points to no link with "brain lesions" and largely debunks the "Auto immune" theory of "MS".

Please go through the 2 forums started by EJC where you will find my previous postings debunking the conventional line on "MS".

You can read about the first patient treated over 10 years ago through TMJ treatment on this link. She remains extremely well to this day:

Great news Campus and what a good call by Dr Arata. It's really good to see some cross referrals from specialists.

Campus, if you get a chance to Speak to Dr Arata again Cece's question is well worth asking.

Also ask if in his opinion the TMJ problem was the only cause of the stenosis of the veins?

I guess what we need to work out is, once you've got the jaw/skeleton sorted out, do you need to get your veins checked to see if the TMJ problems have left residual issues which require attention.

I believe the latest NCS National CCSVI Society's conference included a dental presentations. It took place in Okotoks, AB. There is a CDRom with presentations available which I will buy.

This may be an unexpected link: for all the infection-theorists, I have had 3 courses of antibiotics lately, and I noticed that a very long-standing bleeding gums problem has (accidentally) completely stopped. Even with my occasionally bad oral hygiene. I know it can return, and that might make me more vigilant.
