She has passed away after a battle with both breast cancer and MS.
Back in 2010 or 2011, she'd been treated for CCSVI. There was a video where she talked about it. I can try to find it. She also attended the 2011 CCSVI symposium put on by Dr. Sclafani in NYC.
Condolences to her family. :(

she was a wonderful person and so heroic. She never hid behind or hid her disease.

She believed that her notoriety was useful in educating, uplifting and encouraging patients.

Hell of a performer too

I was sadden to hear of her passing, and pass on my condolences to anyone who knew her personally, such as Dr S. By chance we spoke of her during my treatment, I think a few months before he treated her personally.

I never met her myself, but she truly possessed a unique voice I have yet to hear anywhere else. She will be missed. I had no idea she had cancer, and was hoping to hear more from her.

One thing that really surprised me was an article I read about her passing which said she died from breast cancer and MS. They wrote that she could not undergo radiation therapy due to her MS. Does anyone know how the MS prevented her from seeking radiation chemotherapy?

My condolences go out to her family. Check these articles out. Could we be on to something? Sure seems like patients with both breast cancer and MS are more common than we think.
Perhaps some doctors are on to something.

PwMS have traditionally enjoyed an overall lower rate of cancer, although some more recent increases in incidence of breast cancer may be related to common treatments now. These studies show conflicting associations for rates of various forms of cancers and MS. I certainly hope that additional chest exposure to radiation during CCSVI venograms will not impact cancer growths in this area, as the literature does suggest an increase risk of cancers to areas involved with testing methods that increase radiation exposure there.
