Lew...
this is terrific news. Early July is a fine time to come to northern California. Cooler temps by the ocean, and we don't get humidity and/or mosquitos :) It will be here before you know it.
congrats, bud-

I'm actually going to try to pull it ahead if possible, but I'm not going to push it. I was thinking June but saying July when talking to the good Dr. and it really worked out for his schedule, so I'm not sure, but I'm going to ask to pull it ahead. The slightest balk and I'll just leave it alone, but I am going to try for sooner.

And Mark, ANY coast can grow on you when your only natural wonders are the hill in your backyard  . It's just nothing but flat and no big bodies of water around here. But we sure can farm and pump out factory workers!

Lew,
I am really excited for you. I keep thinking this is too good to be true, and yet I'm starting to feel like maybe I won't have this MS thing forever. Hope is a good thing. Fingers crossed for all of you who are getting this done. Fingers crossed for me. Love and thanks to all of you.

Since everything in my mind goes back to Sports, I'll use a sports analogy to try and get a common ground for how I view hope. To me it's one of, if not THE, big things that are necessary to make it through horrible things in your life.

I liken it, in it's "nebbulousness", to locker room chemistry. No one can totally verbalize why it's so important, but when you don't have it, you can have all the talent in the world and still not dominate. You have it and you can have a team like the Reds :D kicking butt with 1/2 rate talent.

I think that is what made me explore spirituality so much. I mean how do you do down to a prison, in Peru or someplace like that for example, and still find people with a positive outlook. I mean they really know they are going to be treated worse than a goat, get malnourished, and never have a chance at a fair trial. ie nothing to look forward to. But yet there are some who have a good outlook. The thing they have is hope. Most of them are very spiritual and say that's what gives them hope.

Talk to an oncologist sometime and he'll tell you that people who lose hope tend to not make it. People who keep hope alive, tend to do better. Like I said before, I 'm a hope junkie. Your feeling like you might not have this forever may or may not be true. But it feels pretty damn good to feel that way doesn't it? I think the MS rubber bracelet is extremely appropos. It simply says HOPE. They nailed that one if you ask me.

Thanks for the good vibes! I just PM'd you also.
