Jeff's at Stanford today for the balloon procedure...has to do the whole OR thing again....shave, catheter, etc. He's a terrific sport about it all. He's still glad he's done the stenting and is thrilled to feel more energy and less pain. Appreciate good thoughts and prayers for him today. Will post when I hear.

Praying out here too! Just reinforces the need for us to get others around the country on board as these obviously aren't "maintenance free".

My positive thoughts are with you and Jeff. His great attitude will help no doubt. Please take care of yourself during the wait, Joan.

Let us know how Jeff is doing...I might be having the balloon procedure for my veins (if the dr's in the UK agree to treat me) so I am interested to see how Jeff finds it all.

Jeff's in recovery, waiting to get discharged...he just had a local anesthetic for incision site, no other drugs, so he feels great. Dr. Dake got the lining nice and thin with the balloon procedure and they showed him the new bloodflow....looks great! He's relieved (me too) Sooo....if any folks have to do this "tune up" procedure, it can be done with local meds and same day, so that's a bit of a relief. Jeff said it hurt, but not as bad as the original procedure, and he was happy not to be on the heavy duty pain drugs.

He'll check out in a bit, head to the airport and I'll pick him up tonight. Have I mentioned lately how proud I am of my husband?

a relieved cheer

Home...tired. In bed and snoozing. He did it without any pain meds so they would let him come home same day.
