Stent flexibility?

I can not say I have seen (ie remember seeing  ) any discussion regarding the flexibility of the stents people are having implanted currently.

Do these stents "bend"?

To be clearer, if I had one big enough to insert my finger into, and long enough to cover the length of my finger, could I bend my finger? easily? is it like a "slinky" or more like a rigid pipe?

There has been many posts regarding the discomfort after the stent placement, when people bend their necks or twist their heads. Is this because of the rigidity of the stent? or is it "pinching" or pulling some tissue? do we know why?

There's some discussion of this in here: http://www.thisisms.com/ftopict-7588.html - but it's worth its own thread.

My stent was designed for a movable area that needs to flex. I did not hold one in my hand so can't say what they are like, but I do know there are many different ones: different manufacturers, different materials, different flexibility etc.
