Feel pretty good. Neck still hurts but I can turn it and move it really good. Still have moderate headache but better everyday.

BP was 129/85 this morning. I took my Maxide and it is now 122/72. May need to find a natural diuretic. (Jimmylegs???)

Feet and Legs are HUGE still. Maybe he should have checked for CVI in my legs while I was on the table?? But no reason to at that time.

I went for my INR yesterday . Call the Dr office and it is 2.8!!!!! :D :D :D :D

Got to work now. More updated later.

Remembering those lost, injured and the families of the 9/11 attacks.

Feeling even better today. My neck is really sore first thing in the morning but it gets better as the day goes on. Headache is also getting better everyday too. I feel clearer minded but still tired. My speech appears to be somewhat better. I've gone from freak to idiot in a week so next week I should just about be normal. LOL!!!

I go Monday to have my INR checked again. Then I have to go have my Tysabri Infusion Monday afternoon. I am taking the Conference Notes to my PCP when they check INR and then to my Neuro when I have my Tysabri Infusion.

OK, Legs swelling is down, Feet still a bit swollen, weight down 4 lbs. BP 123/76 Meds doing their job.

I am looking forward to the weekend and not having to work. Maybe just getting some rest and visiting my Mom on Sunday.

Later,

Cat please check that the blood thinners and the tysabri will not be a problem together. I would watch your liver and kidneys as a drug combo may burden them x

LR1234,

Checked all that out and there is no interaction with Tysabri. I even talked to Dr Dake about it. The only thing he told me not to take was my Cranberry Extract that I had been taking since the UTI.

Well, It's Friday night and I don't feel like I have been run over. This is an improvement. Tomorrow will be the tell all, this is the day I collapse after working all week.

Hi all,

I am sitting with my feet propped up enjoying some SEC Football. :) :) :)

ALL the swelling is gone, all weight is gone  . BP is good.

I am quite tired today. I cooked some lunch and got so hot and tired I had to sit down at the kitchen table and I was sweating so bad I thought I would pass out. That is a normal day so I really hope that gets better.

Maybe I am expecting to much in just 8 days :?: :?: :?:

Spidey cat you've been through surgery. Your body is trying to get rid of the last of the anesthesia, you have tissue adjustment and probably some inflammation not to mention the coumadin deal. On top of that your fluid balance got out of control and your weight and BP have been up and down this week. Rest!! Sleep!! Read!! Recover.

Thank you Marie,

But can't you tell by my avatar that I am not a patient spideycat???

I know, I just want to be better.

I am having my Tysabri Infusion as I write.

I feel pretty good, my neck is not too sore. My head does not hurt too bad.

I see all the other people here with MS who have progressed and it is a scary thing.

Sad.

Cat, I've been reading but not posting the last couple weeks. I'm so glad your BP is back under control. Get yourself some rest and a chance to recover. BTW, I LOVE your new avatar. Wish I had one like it!!!

Hi all,

When yesterday morning to have my INR checked again. They just called to say my level is 4.2 so no coumadin for 2 days and then 2.5mg (1/2 pill) on Thursday and 5mg on Friday. 2.5 mg on Saturday and 5gm on Sunday and then recheck on Monday.

Is it normal for blood to get so thin so fast?

Blood thinning is an inexact science, Cat...everyone is different. Some folks thin easier than others (you and Lew) and some folks take more (Jeff was up to 10mg-2 pills a day!) You should be feeling a bit better when your INR levels gets between 2-3.

I've also been reading that the amount of vitamin K that you eat (broccoli, kale, any greens) will counteract the blood thinning, so maybe people's varying eating habits are contributing to how long it takes their blood to thin to appropriate levels?

Cat, so how is the rest of you doing? Has the pain in the neck and head gone away yet? I'm assuming the blood thinners are making you feel cruddy. Good luck healing. :)
