Hi Max, Welcome! Like you, my husband Steve's MS is also old, 45+ years old, and his MS is progressive, not relapsing/remitting. 2-1/2 weeks ago he had surgery at Stanford University Medical Center by Dr. Dake. Steve has had MS for so long, that frankly, by the time he had the surgery, we were not particularly hopeful. But SURPRISE, good things are happening. His improvements are coming slowly and in a fluctuating pattern, but they are actually coming.

You can follow Steve's treatment and recovery story at http://www.thisisms.com/ftopict-8225.html .

Hi Max,
Welcome to the forum.
I am Italian and had the liberation procedure twice, the first in Ferrara by Zamboni's team nearly three years ago, the second in Belfast, where I live, two days ago by Baker's team at the Royal Victoria hospital (the first case treated in UK).
I work full time and perform four heart operations a week (thanks to opening of my jugular veins). I have been a strong supporter of Zamboni's theory since the very beginning. I believe he will get the Nobel prize for medicine I hope not in a distant future.
Welcome again.

[quote = "gici"] Ciao Max,
Welcome to the forum.
