This makes me wonder, with the vascular involvement. In MS, is it direct nerve damage that causes double vision or could there be microvascular issues at work as a result of the macrovascular jugular drainage issues?

Stroke is an unlikely cause of double vision.

Jozee,
If you have MS now it is liklely both the bell palsy and the double vision were an initial presentation of MS. The ministroke double vision affect people over 50 with predisposing factors as diabetes or hypertension; another common factor in younger individual is Thyroid problems.

Hey All.
I had my phone interview with the PreOp Nurse for my cataract surg. that is scheduled next week
When I explained why I was taking the Plavix, she just about came thru the telephone!
I LOVE NURSES!!!!! They are sooooo interested and open to everything.
So she said there will be a bunch of everyone waiting for me to ask me all kinds of stuff that she didn't have time to talk about today but she was sure excited to hear what I did tell her.
She said there are a few nurses on that early morning surgery shift that have been diagnosed MS and she said she will try to explain and tell them to find me.
So that is my little bit of spreading the Gospel today! I will let you know what happens.

Awesome Rose! I had the same reaction at my dentist's office. They have called me for more info to pass on to some of their patients. I guess a discussion of CCSVI while having your teeth cleaned or eyes checked has power!

having had a car accident and a detached retina, which is basically separate from my 35 years with ms, I must tell you how you have to take matters into your own hands. I only found out from a friend of a friend etc, that the professionals can rectify this problem. the local children's hospital in Vancouver deals with double vision and helps people by testing and supplying prisms. When I approached my ophthalmologist he referred me and I got special glasses made at a vision centre that corrected the problem, but no one had a clue until I brought this up and adamantly pursued it. It was very frustrating.
