What is the best way to contact Dr Simka?

Hi, the subject says it all really.

Thanks to the good people on TIMS I have learnt a great deal about CCSVI and I would like to start the ball rolling to get tested (and hopefully treated).

Is there a proper way to engage with Dr Simka? I have found his email address via this forum but I'm wondering if there is a formal way or process that I should follow to get his help? I'm not sure if it's the right thing to do, but I'm planning on just sending him an email asking for his help.

Thanks!

Mark.

Hi, Mark,
this is web site of Dr. Simka: http://strona.simka.nazwa.pl/
Of course, before I made his e-mail address public, I checked if it is really public. You will find the same E-mail as you already know.
I advise not to call him. He is so busy.
I know it is simple for me, because I understand a lot in Polish.
It was Joan who gave me his address in the beginning.
Do not worry, just send him an e-mail.

Good news, Dr. Simka has replied to my email and is willing to see me!! :D

I’m really excited now as this is potentially the first time in over 10 years that I might benefit from anything substantial to help my MS. It would be great if the procedure took a few points off my EDS score, but I’d still be thrilled if this only stopped my score from sliding any further and halted progress for a while. Anything else is a bonus.

There’s also a part of me that’s quite nervous too. I’m not good with hospitals lol.

Thanks Edser & Anna, and also Pepe. Have you been through this already then?

Wow, that was fast! Congratulations!
I did not feel like being in hospital. It is very small and you spend only 2 nights there. As I sometimes mention it here. I miss it. It was really more holiday.
Do not worry, moreover you will think about the fact that it is really finally something in more than 10 years that make sense. I was thinking the same way.

Thanks Erika, its early days so I’m trying not to get too excited just yet. I’ll just see what the tests reveal first I suppose.

Where in Poland do you have the tests and procedures done? I see some people talk about Katowice, and others about Pszczyna. Does it depend on what you are having done?

1. my Doppler was done by Dr. Simka in hospital in Tychy - it is not far from Katowice, it was on Aug. the 7th
2. my MRV was done in hospital in Zabrze - again not far from Katowice
3. my procedure was done by Dr. Ludyga and team in Katowice, name of the street is Bartosza Glowaciego 10, http://www.zozmswia.internetdsl.pl/

I do not know how they organize it in your case. As you know I was only the second.
It is also very possible they start to do the procedure in hospital in Tychy in December.
