Coach Did Get Two Stents After Delay of Game

Just wanted to report in briefly about my return trip to Stanford. I was there Nov. 11 and 12. Tests on the 11th and stents on the 12th. One 29mm stent in the left IJV in the upper thoracic area and a 29mm stent in the azygous. Really felt good the first few days. More energy and better rest. Stilll feeling better. I'd do it all over again. Waking up in the morning feeling like warmed over death and needing naps through out the day was getting discouraging to say the least, not to mention bladder issues, walking difficulties, and headaches. I'll take the new and improved version over the old and worn out version. Maybe that was a good Velveteen Rabbit story ( loved that story but didn't want to audition for the part.) hopefully the walking issues and balance issues willl get better down the road. I can tell an improvement in energy level, fewer night trips to the bathroom, and fewer headaches. Our home computer died an untimely death so I have limited time and access to one right now. When I am at my husband's office I do try to be productive and enter data like I am supposed to do so I try to limit my time on the web. Still tire out at times. I guess I was getting no flow through the azygous because the die they use for the procedure shot right back at the cath, or maybe it had a right angle bend or something. That's it for now.

So glad to hear you're home and healing, Ladelle! Great news! Keep us posted, but don't get in trouble at your husband's office

Coach -

Great to hear from you - glad your recovery is sparked with new energy. I think the improvement in walking issues is a ways down the road -- you probably first need to restore muscle strength. I am walking better (just a bit), I have more muscle endurance --- I am six months out from the procedure. Be patient.

Yeah Ladelle! I am glad to hear it worked out well and you feel better already. Wow, that is great! No high jug stent so no neck issues either!

Way to go!

Great news for you! You know, we have always loved the Velveteen Rabbit too -- for you, I hope being "real" means excellent recovery continues as time goes on. :-)
