I am guessing getting a response from Dr Haake will be a long wait at the moment, so I am hoping someone else may be able to clarify this point.

I have been speaking to a neuro and radiologist regarding Dr Haake's protocols. The radiologist said that he does not have easy access to a Siemns machine, however, he said that a "SWAN" scan on a GE MR machine is similar. I checked it out on the web, and it would appear at first glance to be good.

I received a response from 'info.mrimaging@gmail.com', which basically said that SWAN is not SWI, but GE sites can collect the same parameters as SWI and save the magnitude and phase data and then we can create SWI from that data.

Hopefully the radiologist will agree to do the scans, with the extra data as well.

Now that is a great development at this early stage of the game. I wonder if GE would be interested in funding some kinds of studies to get their machine more market share?
