DR. DAKE IS NOT DOING ANY MORE PROCEDURES UNTIL TRIAL

Just found out from Alex at Dr. Dake's that there will not be any more surgeries until they get a trial started sometime next year. He will only do the testing and consultation part until then.
So my surgery is put on hold for now being it was next week........

The bummer is we both got the bad news! I already have my plane tickets to leave tomorrow -- so I will just go and get the testing and consult and see what he says.

I'm hoping he'll be open to at least ballooning any stenoses \, even if he can't place stents ... ugh ugh ugh I can't believe I am hearing all of this on the messageboard WHILE I'm waiting at Stanford!

Ugh...Zap, I totally feel for you. I'm so sorry that this is happening while you are there. That's a good thought about asking Dake to do ballooning. Let us know what he says. Again, we're all pulling for you.
