Dr Ludwin on CBC

Yes Dr. Ludwin was very positive! Some quotes (my transcription, not official from the CBC):

His advice to patients: "Get excited, but not over the top... don't stop your regular medicines. But call your local MS Neurologist to see if the diagnosis at least can be set up locally.... (!!)"

On his own reaction: "I am very excited, but cautious."

Here is a longer link which should take your right to the audio file:

I don't think that anyone has been taken for anything. People willingly gave money to be scanned.

Until we get some actual reports, let us try to have some positivity.

there are 2 reports back from false creek. 1 on facebook and another in an article. Both showed no ccsvi. Negative would be thinking this is because zamboni, and the buffalo and stanford replications were cooked. No. I think this is because false creek is at least a month away from learning how to do this test well.

Agreed, Bill. I was not implying that you were being negative regarding Zamboni et al , I just don't think anyone was "taken". False Creek Surgical has expressed that they do not just want to take the money of MSers, and has offered a caveat.

Being that they are not doing trans-cranial Doppler there, I would think the the ultra-sound scans would be a waste of money, but MRV ought to show what is there, or not. It might be that it takes a while for them to get up to speed with the imaging techniques, and even longer for accurate interpretation of same.

The one report that I have seen was not very succinct, nor explicit, but did show "attenuation", for what that is worth.

We have to start somewhere...

Don't forget to claim all procedures you get done on Income Tax. Also include lodging and travel.
I have a call in at False Creek, hope they know what they are doing.
Take care all!

what if the ubc guys dont send someone to get trained in italy first ?

Trobelsee is my neuro. He's a good guy, but he's pretty old school in his thinking. Would this be a replication to prove ccsvi and ms are true or a sloppy replication to prove it is untrue?
