affirmative action

Just a late-night ramble, inspired by a couple of posters (who's names are lost in the fog, sorry), regarding contacting legislators to pay attention to CCSVI, and those of us who have it.
I reckon that if every one in the US writes to their Congressperson, that would generate 25,000 pounds of mail. Multiply as applicable for CCing Senators, State legislators, etc. If the likes of The New York Times, Washington Post, etc., were included, the impetus would be that much more concentrated. And if you had 5 family members, and 5 friends do likewise, that would be somewhere around 2 million pieces of mail hitting each desk.
A Canadian mentioned that letters were free to mail to the Prime Minister, Federal Minister of Health, MP, and also, their Provincial counterparts. It equals huge volumes of mail that could not be ignored. Let's do it! 75,000 letters on the desks of the Prime Minister, etc. (plus another 750,000 from 5 family members and 5 friends each), would freak them out! That is a voting block in strong evidence.
A co-ordinated action would be more effective than dribs and drabs of mail coming in. If everyone mailed their letters on say, January 1st, or 15th, there would be a deluge of personal petitions arriving at the same time. That would be hard to ignore. Do it again on February 1st, or 15th. Rinse and repeat.
(kudos to others who planted that seed, and who's names I have spaced)
I have begun to look up all vascular, endo-vascular surgeons, and interventional radiologists, etc. in the environs of Vancouver, and will petition them to take an interest as well. How many of us in the Lower Mainland?
It really is ludicrous that we have to wait years for neurology to get out of the way, and for research into what so many practically, and intuitively know is right - there is a 90% chance that I have occluded veins causing extreme neurological symptoms. What in Helsinki is wrong with you? Fix my Amsterdam veins now! PLEASE!
