Cervical ribs anyone?

I just made a startling discovery. Well, it took me all afternoon on google.

It must because this is new that no one has written about it too much yet.

*** Cervical ribs can cause pressure on the jugulars. These are congenital extra ribs that cause problems depending on how they're situated in each person. ***

About 1 in 300 people has them and more women than men.

Add posture to this and habitual mannerisms over time like tensing, hunching up and sleeping a certain way you can get yourself some serious problems.

I advocate looking at your chest X-ray to know if you have these. You can have one on on one side, or one on each side of neck.

The main drawback is that to remove them is risky. There are some horror stories. Also, it's not always necessary.

Is there anyone here who already knows if they have these extra ribs? Or does your parent have them?

This is a very good link!
