CCSVI protocol for CT scans with contrast???

Hello,

Is there a CCSVI protocol for CT scans of the neck (jugular veins) and of the chest (azygos vein)? I have searched with no success.

I ask this in light of beechwood297's CT scans (with contrast) that clearly show a missing left jugular and what appears to be a C-1 vertebral extension pinching his right jugular: http://www.thisisms.com/ftopict-8515.html

Btw, I do understand that the radiation exposure of CT scans is high.

Thank you very much. Happy New Year to everyone!

I originally spoke with Dr Dake regarding an MRV, and he recommended I get a CT scan instead. I asked him for details of anything specific, and he simply said that it should be "from my diaphragm, to the top of my head". And that the radiologist should be aware its of the venous system (not the arterial) and therefore there is "more delay". Hope this helps.

Thank you, Cure.

I've sent "from my diaphragm, to the top of my head" to my doctor's office, and I've crossed my fingers for good luck.

Again, thank you. If I do get CT scans, I'll post them.

Good luck, hopefully you will still need to put the light on when you walk into a dark room... :P

I actually had a CT of my lungs about 10 years ago, and no-one bothered to mentioned the radiation level to me. And hence, if I can I am avoiding my second (in addition to two previous chest X-rays). Obviously the medical profession do not consider them too much of a concern and they are the ones who should know. Good luck.
