That's great news, protek! I already contacted the doctor and he is very nice! Also, I found out that he is the best angiology specialist in Bulgaria! Dr Simka is already booking into May 2011 so it's great we can also go to Bulgaria for testing and treatment!!!

Is there any information about him testing for CCSVI? And if so, is it via MRV, doppler or both?

Indeed, dr Simka seems to be very busy...

The doctor told me he is very interested in CCSVI, has started this recently, and has had a few patients so far and there are people enrolled, I suppose mostly Bulgarians with MS at this point. He has been gaining experience in this. Since he is a very good angiology specialist as it is this will be a good option for CCSVI.

I have been in touch with Dr.Grozdinski and he told me to send him an email, I did that on Monday and he has already replied asking me to send my name and address before he gets back to me with a date. Ye ha!!

I have also been in touch with Dr.Simka, Poland but despite being told I should have an appointment sometime in March, I still await his reply. Obviously Dr.Simka is extremeley busy but hopefully one will supply a date soon!!!!!! :D :D :D

I am also waiting for a date from dr Grozdinski and Simka. Let's hope they will know what to look for in Bulgaria. I m no doctor but from what he wrote to me it seems that he knows EXACTLY how to perform the tests required.
It will be sometime after April. We ll see...
No MRV though :( CT venography instead. I guess this will have to do the trick.

Protek, thank you VERY much for sharing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello,

I just saw a newspaper article posted in a Bulgarian MS forum about CCSVI. In short, Dr Grozdinski has formed a team with other doctors from "Tokuda" Hospital which is supposed to be one of the best hospital in Bulgaria, also famous as the Japanese hospital. The article says that the have tested 30 patients with MS and have performed one stenography with very very encouraging results a few days ago. But it doesn't say if all 30 people had CCSVI. Anyways, here is the article, it's in Bulgarian but you can translate it with Google: http://www.trud.bg/Article.asp?ArticleId=355704

From a Bulgarian friend of mine taken from a Bulgarian MS forum:

Dr Grozdinski and 5 more doctors from a well known Cardiological Hospital tested the Dr. Zamboni method on 30 people and one of the doctors performed the first successful placement of a stent , but there is no more information about those 30 people.

Hmm, soon we ll know about the remaining 29 i guess. The fact that they stented a patient surely says something anyway.

reply from Dr. Grozdinski
