yeah, don't be sorry for not posting the link...that's Dr. Rose. Been there, tried to talk reason with that 8O
I really wish he wouldn't quote me out of context, but whatever.

He doesn't respond to facts or research or reasonable discussion. I wouldn't be too concerned. Most doctors are too busy treating and caring for patients to have a "blog." He never learned angioplasty, and as a cardiologist, he resents new medical procedures and sees them as useless and potentially harmful...so angioplasty on the veins has got him all worked up. That's where he's coming from.

I can vouch that, having read some of Dr. Rose's posts on the Facebook CCSVI page, he comes across as a troll. I checked out his blog from there and, if I understood it correctly, he is a longtime opponent of angioplasty anywhere in the body. That he'd be an opponent of angioplasty in MSers is just a continuation of his negative bias toward angioplasty in general.

It is hard, having read up on CCSVI now, to hear some of the misunderstandings or arguments against it. In particular, one of the elegant things about CCSVI is how it dovetails with the MS autoimmunological theory. (MS is widely considered an autoimmunological disease with an unknown precipitating event; CCSVI fits in as the precipitating event and a continual aggravator. Beautiful.) But the kneejerk assumption that the two theories are at complete odds lets people set up strawman arguments against CCSVI.
