CCSVI WORKSHOP ON MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS FEBRUARY 7TH, 2010
We are delighted to announce that we will be holding the first of what we hope will be an annual "Workshop on CCSVI and Multiple Sclerosis". This meeting will be held Sunday afternoon, February 7th, 2010 in Hamilton at St. Joseph's Hospital in conjunction with McMaster University. More details will appear as this event develops. Dr. Zamboni and several of his colleagues are planning to come and Dr. Zivadinov and Dr. Dake have both been invited as well. Stay tuned for more details.

Thanks, Sharon! Great news. Pretty sure it's just for docs, not patients. I'd suggest folks let their doctors know about this conference, and have them contact Dr. Haacke if they are interested in learning more about CCSVI.

I wonder if this is a public event or something for medical professionals only? Can't wait to hear more details as it approaches.
eta: posted at the same time as cheer. It would be a shame if it is for docs only. I'm not far from there and would've loved to go. But as soon as I saw 'workshop' I kinda figured it was for medical professionals only. Hopefully they're able to get a lot accomplished.

I will check the website for updates as to whether it will be open to the general public....I'd love to hear what they have to say first hand.

Dr Zamboni is going to be at McMaster on Feb 7th and then at NYU on Feb 9th. I wonder where he will be on Feb 8, LOL. This is almost too exciting to handle !!!!!

This is not open to the public, it is for medical professionals only. My NYC IR is going/speaking, by invite from Haake.

I wonder if he is coming back for the huge neuro conference April 10 in Toronto. Supposedly the Buffalo study is to be presented at it, but then again the results of the study were to be released in November.

I see my new MS specialist at U of M medical center tomorrow. I am going to present CCSVI to him and tell him that he could be a real pioneer for research on this if he goes to the event. Where is Hamilton? Where is McMaster university?

Hamilton, Ontario is a one hour drive west of Toronto and a 1 hour drive northeast of Buffalo, NY.

This is an email that I will be sending out to some local newspapers
Research into Blood Flow in the Brain and Venous Insufficiency, or CCSVI, in Multiple Sclerosis is a new and potentially interesting area in MS research. Experts in this field will be travelling to Canada in early February to meet with Dr. Haacke to learn more about this new research and procedure. It is my assumption that this workshop is for Physicians. More details will become available on Dr. Haacke’s website.
