Cervical collar

I have been thinking: would a cervical collar (like to one we can wear all day/night) help to draw the blood from the brain?

It is useless to keep the blood flowing wrongly and while waiting a CCSVI procedure it could help keeping the veins 'straight' ?

If I have venous anomalies; I think the provenance could be postural. I spent the last 30 years in front of a screen... I often feel neck strains and stiffness.

Just a wild idea -> Anyone?

I've been thinking the same thing. Even when I wake up from sleep I've noticed my head is always in a weird angle. I was wondering how uncomfortable they would be to sleep with.

I've spent the last 15 years infront of a pc. I definately know my posture is awful. Could be pinching my veins off 8-10 hours a day at the pc and then while sleeping, lol

That got a laugh out of me!

But to the original question: that makes a lot of sense, especially for those who've had imaging done and know more about what they're dealing with. I am not sure if my weird sleeping positions are my body trying to maximize blood flow or if I'm hurting myself with them.

the ideal would be to get the neck back into correct postion, so no arteries or veins are constricted by subluxations, rotations; so then blood can flow properly. All a collar would do is hold you in a fairly rigid position, it would not correct anything. Neck is meant to be mobile.

I have had neck injuries, and pain, and bad posture for years, including last few years too many hours at PC--and wake up with neck and head in very weird angles. This past year, have been seeing chiropractor who adjusted rotated atlas-- and doing neck exercises (painful and hard to do at first, now quite okay), and my neck and head feel better than in many, many years! And starting to wake up with head in an okay position! (ie, not twisted angle)--part of that might be due to now sleeping in the inclined bed positon (for past 1 1/2 months).

link to info on adjusting atlas, and importance of this:

this video is of the orthogonal machine that does the adjusting--but a good chiropractor can do it with manual adjustments, and this way it costs considerably less.
