IVSM working or not?

I've started a 5-day course of IVSM yesterday so today is day 2. I've had this done 7 yrs ago but I can't remember how long it took for it to take effect, though I know its not immediate.
At what point should I conclude that this med is not working?
Ps - I'm doing the IV at home thru a caregiver.

The one time I found IVSM to be effective was when I had optic neuritis. It was when I was in the hospital during my initial diagnosis. My vision started to clear up after about 2-3 days. However, it remained heat sensitive for about 6 months afterwards, e.g., a hot shower or too much time outdoors during hot weather would cause it to cloud over until I cooled down.
