Anyone else can't take Nsaids? (Ibuprophen/Aleve)

I hated Copaxone... going to try Avonex.

Anyone else on here who can not take Nsaids? I have ulcers. Nothing but Tylenol for me & I am a bit worried I will get a sky high fever. Tylenol doesn't work very well for me with big fevers. One Ibuprophen & I am bleeding.

Anyone do ok with just Tylenol?
Thanks!

I remember reading that some people have found that an allergy medication containing an antihistamine was effective in combatting the side effects of Avonex. You could try searching for posts. It has been several years since I read this.

I had a period of allergy and I could not take any non steroidal antiinflamatory drugs. I also had ulcerus 2 times. My neugo suggested this and works for me:

- morning of injection: 40mg of Nexium for stomach protection
- 1 antihistamine he suggested it before the injection: Xyzal or Telfast
- then= take avonex
- 2 h later when the side effects kick in, 2 panadol
- 4-6h later panadol again, for me one pill works

In the meantime i moved to Kataflan. Is a mild voltaren and I tolerate it. Hope it helps
