Hello everyone. I am here because I am beginning to question if maybe I have to look into possible MS diagnosis. Like many posters, I def do have anxiety and my Dr knows this but I was hoping you could look at how I feel and see if maybe I need to pursue. To start, I have diagnosed low testosterone since I was 25, no cause found. I am not treating BC I don't want to shut my T production down. I will work backwards w my ms like symptoms(?)...last week I had a spot on my right thigh that was getting warm/hot repeatedly over about 4days, just when I was going to schedule appt it stopped. Recently before that I've noticed my my feet tingle when I wake up...but I have also started experiencing days of numbness with my feet, like a rubber band is around my calf. And back to the spot on my thigh, a about 18mos ago I went to Dr BC in about the same spot I was getting Charlie horse like pain...and was told it was nothing. It wasn't till I searched the warm spot on thigh that I started connecting dots. For years I had been noticing sometimes when I look down I do get sharp pain, and I explained this to doctor...but I've seen listed on symptoms as "electrical shock"...could it also be sharp pain? Besides fatigue, which I always attributed tow testosterone, I also noticed I get a weak heavy feeling in my right knee. And as for vision, I do not have permanent vision changes, but last year my right eye twitched routinely for about two months. And twice in the last year I had strange episode where my vision was suddenly wavy for about an hour, I could look straight but everything else was like swirly in my peripheral vision. I also get lots of random sharp pains, like in my right shoulder, or other spots in my back. And also, I have moderate carpal tunnel in left hand/ mild on my right, w emg. But my right hand my pinky and ring finger were numb the other day and both hands are really bothering me too...i have been trying to put off surgery. Question is it possible this could all be ms related? And is it possible ms is causing low testosterone if indeed I did have it? I have had pretty much every test done for lowT but pituitary MRI. Would pituitary MRI also pick up lesions, like trying to kill two birds with one stone? Sorry this is so long- I know I ramble...its been years of this and I don't wanna ask my Dr if you guys dont think it quite fits...thanks for your help!

hi :) welcome to the forum

one thing you could ask for would be a serum zinc test..

Zinc Status and Serum Testosterone Levels of Healthy Adults
http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/ar ... 079680058X
Zinc deficiency is prevalent throughout the world, including the USA. ... Dietary zinc restriction in normal young men was associated with a significant decrease in serum testosterone concentrations after 20 weeks of zinc restriction ... We conclude that zinc may play an important role in modulating serum testosterone levels in normal men."

your test may not come back outright deficient, but you need to watch it with zinc and make sure your levels are high normal.
question: do you eat much in the way of bread/pasta/baked goods?

for the twitching, I would check out serum magnesium. same thing as with zinc - the result will likely come back 'normal' but you want to have levels up at the very very top end of the normal range to prevent deficiency symptoms.

The underestimated problem of using serum magnesium measurements to exclude magnesium deficiency in adults; a health warning is needed for “normal” results
http://www.degruyter.com/view/j/cclm.20 ... 10.077.xml
"The perception that “normal” serum magnesium excludes deficiency is common among clinicians. This perception is probably enforced by the common laboratory practice of highlighting only abnormal results. A health warning is therefore warranted regarding potential misuse of “normal” serum magnesium because restoration of magnesium stores in deficient patients is simple, tolerable, inexpensive and can be clinically beneficial."

Thanks for your reply. I do eat alot of carbs...not as much pasta but definitely in cereal (oat squares) and bread...i also eat processed foods alot on lunch breaks. I forgot to mention in my first post I just had a sleep study for apnea, which was negative for apnea, but I do have snoring.....i just wanted to add that to help rule out fatigue from apnea. Thanks for your time

no probs :) ok. certain foods deplete essential minerals. wheat products would be something to limit if you can. gluten in general. oats are not so bad. but too much of any one thing can lead to trouble. diversity rules!

see if you can get the wheat/gluten based carbs down to a serving every other day for a while. fill up on other diverse whole nutrient-dense foods, organic if possible.
