Forgive me if there's a better place to look up what is "normal" and what's not. My doctor says this is "normal" but I want to make sure I'm not missing something.

Magnesium, serum - 2.2 mg/dl
TSH - 1.116 mu/i
B12 - 395 pg/ml
D2 25 hydroxy level - <1 ng/ml
D3 25 hydroxy level- 30
D total 25 hydroxy level - ("L" flag) 30 ng/ml
ESR - 7mm/hr
ANA ELISA scn (can't find a clear answer as to what this is) - Positive
ANA IFA (don't know) - Negative
Urinalysis detected ketones, nothing else

What do you guys think?

I will just comment this one now:
B12 - 395 pg/ml
This is certainly too low to leave alone for someone who is having neurological symptoms. Also, the authors say that people suspected of having MS need more tests than just serum B12 to rule out B12 issues.

See the book Could It Be B12?: An Epidemic of Misdiagnoses
Presenting a wide scope of problems caused by B12 deficiency, this comprehensive guide provides up-to-date medical information about symptoms, testing, diagnosis, and treatment. Written for both the patient and the interested layperson, this detailed book outlines how physicians frequently misdiagnose B12 deficiency as Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis, heart disease, mental retardation, Parkinson's disease, depression, or other mental illnesses. Now in the second edition, this resource has been thoroughly updated with the latest research, diagnostic tests, treatment options, case studies, and testimonials.

I am not saying that I think the other results are necessarily fine, though.

Thank you. I know one of those tests was for syphillis and one was for celiac's, both of which came up negative. Not sure which ones though.

I plan on getting that book on Friday.

I did read through jimmylegs' post on his signature, are there other resources for looking up optimal lab results vs what is flagged on the report?

hey there :)

the targets are pulled from scientific papers (except where noted otherwise eg the hemoglobin target coming from klenner).

you can find such studies indexed on google scholar. for some you need full text access to really get at the meat of the study, though!
