Feeling terrible

Hi all,

i have posted a couple times on here and am fairly new to this forum. I have had a neuro appointment and a scheduled MRI for next Sunday May 11th. Im so down in the dumps these days. The tingling in my body sometimes makes me want to crawl out of my skin. I keep thinking " tomorrow will be better" but it never is. Ive been taking multi B vitamins plus magnesium and some omega 3. Is there anything natural or otherwise that helps with tingling? I know i have to wait a couple weeks for any MRI results but im just at wits end.

I havn't been eating great since im depressed about all this. I bought some ensure to drink and eat meals here and there but not getting enough vitamins im sure. Im dizzy sometimes and just feel like crap. I have to go to work for night shift tonight (12hrs) and am hoping i can make it through.

You guys keep me sane and im sorry for venting, but im sure my friends are tired of hearing about it and i dont want to worry my mom.

I am 43, female, and was fairly healthy until all this started in Feb after a trip to Cuba.

Any replies are welcome. Thanks for reading

Cathy

Hi Cathy,
We are here to listen – to everything, even "venting."

As you will remember, currently I am focused on vitamin B12. If you plan to have testing for a possible B12 deficiency, taking multi B vitamins can skew the results. If you are taking a B complex, the high level of folic acid can mask a B12 deficiency. Magnesium is good to take throughout the day, but maybe you could take a break from the B vitamins for a while.

By the way, dizziness can be a symptom of a B12 deficiency among other conditions.

Please let us know how your MRI and follow-up with the neuro go.

Know that you will feel better, soon.

Your body need special care at this time in your life, and for the rest of your life- proper nourishment (not necessarily what you thought was good nourishment until this point), supplements, medication, exercise and lifestyle change will all aid in better health for you.

Become proactive - there is a wealth of knowledge on this site, on the internet and in books.

Hi, Cathy,

I just saw my third neurologist and am no closer to getting answers. I don't have any advice for the tingling, although swimming does help me feel better these days ( I also have tingling and nerve pain). I hope you find relief soon. I'll be praying for you, and feel free to PM me -- I know what it's like to be undiagnosed. I've been going through this for over a year now.

Hugs,

Michele
