Don't even recognize my life anymore

I am new to this site and so glad to have found it. I have been going to doctor after doctor and even neurologist and had an MRI, which was clear, and every blood test and other test they have done had come back normal. But I don't even recognize my life anymore. 2 years ago I was a healthy happy working 36 year old who worked out 6 days a week and was considered a health nut by all my friends and family.

It all started when I started getting dizzy and losing my balance and joint pain at work. The pain kept getting worse for six months and moved to my muscles in my legs and hips. I thought I just needed to go to a chiropractor, but that never helped. I started getting really bad with my memory and confusion. I had periods of time where I couldn't ever get words out. The pain in my legs generally has gotten worse over the last year and a half, winter was really bad, spring was ok, but now the heat is really bad too. My vision in one eye has been getting really blurry, I have constant bowel trouble, my bladder can't hold urine very long, and I have completely lost my sex drive. I seem to have lost the reflexes in my left leg too, which was new to me till the doctor tried to find them. All these symptoms have started in the last 2 years and have changed my life completely.

The pain gets so bad I am in tears and can't even hold myself up many days. But several doctors have tried to tell me there is nothing wrong. I feel like I am going crazy. This is real!

P.S. My sister has diagnosed MS

Hi MleanieS,
Welcome to ThisIsMS. An MS diagnosis is a diagnosis of exclusion. One condition which needs to be evaluated before considering MS is vitamin B12 deficiency. Several of your symptoms are consistent with vitamin B12 deficiency. Did your doctors test for this? If so, do you know the test results? Sometimes we can be deficient, but still fall within a lab's "normal" range so it would be good to have the actual data.

Thank you for the reply. Yes I have been tested several times for B12. It has always been good. But I had it tested again recently. I will have the results this coming Tues. I am thankful today that the weather has cooled down a lot. My pain is much lesswith the cooler temps. Not sure if that happens with B12 defficiency?

Sorry you are not feeling well. Know that in time you will feel better. What kinds of things are you doing to take care of yourself right now?
