Progress

I take a capsule with 300 (or so) mg of 100% biotin, which I bought in bulk. It has been about 120 days or so. I have noticed improvements in muscle strength, in my core and arms. Legs still not noticeably improving. Maybe I'll see how my MRI looks these days. I still believe I have a vein drainage and reflux problem which is unlikely to respond to biotin. Just thought I'd give you an update. Hope it keeps up...

Hi,

I also noticed improvements for every symptom, except for my left leg….
Since end of April, I’ve been gradually taking from 15 mg to 300 mg per day.

One great (and unexpected) thing is that I had, every evening, pain behind my eye (optic neuritis?), and it disappeared few days ago…
That’s wonderful.

The MedDay study is speaking about improvements after 9 months.
So let’s keep some hope here regarding our legs issue.

Cheers

Hi friends,

Do you think we can expect this MD1003 to provide a continuous improvement?

I mean, for example, let's say my EDSS=5

The MD1003 study is saying that an improvement of 0.5 points should be achieved after 9 months.

So after 9 months, my EDSS would be 4.5.

what after 18 months? 27? etc....

If EDSS keeps on decreasing, that means the MD 1003 is the cure for PMS & SPMS
If not, well, this medecine is still a wonderful thing for us......

Cheers,

If it really helps in repairing myelin then on long term it could even help more, We still have to wait for other results of the study to know this. Probably it justs stops/slows progression so you body has a chance to heal again, that would be a win already for most of the people until they found something even better.

Arrrg, I was too optimistic

According to the report from ECTRIMS (European Comittee for Treatment and Research in MS) below:
http://sep-news.com/webconference-ectri ... ation.html (sorry, it's in french; you just need to click on "Biotine dans les formes progressives: analyses en sous-groupe(3)" and you will see a graph showing EDSS evolution VS Time)

->The biotin is only slowing MS progression.
I thought it could provide a continuous remyelination, but this graph is showing that EDSS is decreasing after few months but is still growing...
