Question about malfunction

I had a weird thing happen with my shot last night and just wondered if anyone else has had this happen. The Rebif was leaking out the front through the needle without me pressing on the plunger and then all of a sudden the plunger fell out the back of the needle and the Rebif went all over my leg. Been doing this for 3 years and never had this happen. Do I call my pharmacy or MS Lifelines. That shot and the one I ended up using after were the last ones in the batch. Do I even bother? I will be one shot short eventually.

Call MS Lifelines. Rebif will replace a defective needle.

Well I called MSLifelines and for future reference for everyone, they do not replace a single syringe. When I was first diagnosed they seemed so helpful but the 2 times in the 3 years I've been on Rebif that I've had to call with problems they act like it's the craziest thing they've ever heard and they are almost accusative like I must've done something wrong. Kind of annoying. Maybe I've just gotten the wrong representatives or something. It's not as if I'm calling them every week with imaginary problems. I guess it bugged me and I need to just let it go. Oh well.

Crap :x That sounds just like computer tech support. The first person you usually reach doesn't acutally know anything and they're just reading off of a script. There they say it's a problem with "the other company's products." Here, they're blaming it on the patient. How pathetic. Just like in tech support, it sounds like you'll have to call back and ask to speak to their manager. Hopefully that will get some response. If not, write the company a letter and CC it to a few people so that no one can deny it arrived.

Thanks for the reassurance that I didn't overreact. I am not one to call and complain and the response I received really annoyed me. I have enough problems in my life and I don't need someone accusing me of being an idiot. I've been doing the shots for 3 years with virtually no problem and the questions they asked were just patronizing. When I told them that the plunger fell out the guy asked me "well did you pull on it?". I mean really, if I was pulling on it would I have been surprised that it came out?!! I've since let it go (can't you tell  ) but it just irked me.
