I just got notified that the paper was accepted for publication. It has information that is relavent to your case as well as for Mystery. It should be ready in time for your appointment with the new more open-minded neurologist. Hopefully, he will take the time to read it.

I will post a link as soon as the paper is published and available online. I originally wrote the paper at the request of an upper cervical organization for their new website but their website was taking too long to get online and the paper was too lengthy. It was also too lengthy to submit to peer reviewed chiropractic journals. Instead, I chose to give another journal a try. This particular journal will reach far more professionals and patients. Now that the paper is published I can get back to finishing my next book, which is for professionals and includes much more. The book should be ready to send to the publisher in January.

Hello Robert,

The paper hasn't been published in its final format but the link below is to the PDF format.

http://www.hindawi.com/journals/nri/aip/794829/

The information regarding the anterior spinal arteries and circulation to the cord, as well as studies by Dr. Rafael regarding the role of ischemia in the distribution of the vertebral-basilar arteries in neurodegenerative conditions of the brain and cord is very relevant to your case. The information regarding head trauma and ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) in soccer players is likewise very relevant to your case.

The information regarding hydrocephalus, hydromyelia (syrinx and holocord syrinx) and the CCJ are relevant to Mystery/Francis's case.

Hi doc,

from your paper;
The vertebral arteries make up the posterior blood supply routes that provide about twenty percent of blood flow to the brain. The twenty percent they supply include most of the diencephalon (thalamus and hypothalamus) and all of the brainstem, as well as the medial temporal and occipital lobes.
Hypothalamus...responsible for body temperature, right??
I dont sweat anymore....

Hello Robert,

Yes, the hypothalamus is important to the regulation of body temperature.

As I discuss in the paper Dr. Rafael has shown a correlation between ischemia in the distribution of the vertebral-basilar arteries to the brainstem and cord and neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson's Plus and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis as well as others. Dr. Rafael has successfully used omental transplantation to grow new blood vessels to supply the cord. The His patients showed significant improvement following surgery.

Soccer can cause tears in the muscles and connective tissues of the craniocervical juntion that can result in misalignments and cranial settling that compress the vertebral and spinal arteries that can lead to ischemic degeneration of the cord. The only way to determine if there is damage affecting the vetebral-basilar arteries in your case is with an upright MRI with dynamic veiws and Cine MRI.
