The MS Clinic in Ottawa did a study involving Copaxone users. They found that 45% of the users ended up with various levels of lipoatrophy, a number they stated was excessive and much higher in comparision to what Teva (makers of Copaxone) give in their literature.
It amazes me that some MS docs still don't warn their patients about this possibility and how to take steps to avoid it. You unfortunately, found out the hard way.
Hubby was never told about it at all this is the first time I've heard of it. He started on copaxone on July 4 2005. Here is a good link for other's like myself who had not heard about it.
