Hi I am new to this and here is my question....I put it somewhere else but can not find it so here goes again and I hope this one I can find! I am 43 with a wonderful husband of almost 25 years and 4 kids from ages 19 to 5. I was diagnosed in 2001 but have had it for many years. Neuro feels I am going from RR to SP and I feel like I go downhill each day!!! Not a good feeling! Anyways I keep seeming to gain weight the Dr. says it is just because of my not being able to be active but any ideas what I could do???????? I know there are more important things but I feel like even my balance would be better if I was smaller! Thanks anyone who will read this and have ANY idea!

However, I have been on this particular treatment for just under two years now, and despite for much of that time being a lot less active than I was a few years before, I was under 130 lbs when I started and am the same, without any dieting. Before this I was starting to put on some weight.

Hi!
Diagnosed 1992 so have suffered this illness for 14 years. Don't look obviously disabled but am currently suffering Mental health problems (no wheelchair for me!!!). Am thinking at the moment how a wheelchair would feel as oppose to mental health problems.
I never knew MS could take away your intelligence and logic.
Would be very interested to hear from anyone who can relate to my current state of mind (I'm seeing a neuropsychiatrist on March 1st).

i just saw one three weeks ago and found out that my multipe tasking ablity as they call it is really bad...she says that for my age 34 i shouldn't be having this problem.but i am..i work in a enviroment where ya are constantly multitasking things..i now have to write notes to remember what someone just said to me or what i have to do in ten mintues some days are good other days it feels horrible..have people who work with me who are older and here i am having problems..such is life..i do the note writing all the time..but it did help me when i went to see mine..she was really nice talked for a hour before the testing and then i went and did that..she called me and talked about the results and to make sure i understodd them..i had a great exprienece with mine..hopefully they will be able to help you..for me it made me feel better to know i wasn't going crazy and feeling like i was missing things day today..now i am a litttle better with the news it helped me to focucs more...any questions you have ya can let me know and i will try and help out..

Yes, this disease takes away from you everything- intelligence, dignity, physical ability- some others, no doubt that we all know. My MS came on very brutally and swiftly but since i was "too old" for MS it was not diagnosed soon enough to prevent my slide to 6.7 on the EDSS. Now, after 18 months on abx I have climbed back up to 2.5.
