Hey Nenu

Like I said, you don't need artifice, with those dark eyes - wow!

Bob - I am going to pretend that vid was especially produced for me to knock me off the fence! It worked.
The eyes have it, no doubt about it....But the voice - love that accent, and the hint of bashfulness just works so well for you Laughing That (occasionally) sarcastic Bob-person that we all know and love now has a sweet face (bet you are mortified that the word 'sweet' is used to describe you Wink ) with a 'hot' Yankie accent.
Maybe you will get ms after all....

Well done you techno-whizz.

Hey Bob,
These words are going to stick in my throat so I hope you appreciate how difficult this is to say:
It was really great to see and hear you on video… pictures are fine, but you can't beat video for making you realise there are real human beings behind the rather impersonal words on these pages. Thank you for that!

Thanks for the kind words Ally, but I thought Americans were the only people WITHOUT an accent??

Laughing Thanks Dom! I only wish that I could lock that statement so that you can't edit it out later!

Ha! In real life I'm not a big talker, but obviously in cyberspace I have a hard time keeping my mouth shut!

Haha Bob - you can be real funny when you try!

I actually love American accents - except maybe NY/Brooklyn type ones (sorry to all who have them, but they sounds a little jarring to the ear), but my fav are those guys with Southern drawls, especially if they have a deepish voice - maybe we should all start making recordings...? So polite and so charming - I loved New Orleans Laughing
Sadly Bob, you are a Yankie, but it still sounds good to me - I have a horrible clipped Brit accent meshed with a little SA twang, not nearly so smooth on the ear.
Hey, Jack is from Carolina - maybe he has a great drawl?

My eyes aren't actually all that dark! They're more a blue/gray color. Just the lighting in that photo makes them look darker than normal Wink.

I do have brown hair and quite dark other features (eyebrows/lashes), so in that respect I guess that's how I've avoided makeup for years. Which works well for me, because I'm a hippie girl when it comes to appearance.

I'm just happy as punch for the weather to be nice so I can wear my Birkenstocks honestly Smile

Sorry to dissapoint you Ally, but I have no noticable accent. I grew up in deep South, Columbus Georgia to be exact but never had a heavy southern accent. How I missed it I do not know, maybe watching to much Walter Cronkite on the CBS Evening News growing up, but it probably has more to do with living in a military town and going to school with kids from all over the states.

Most people, when they try to guess, think I sound like someone from the Midwest, say around Chicago.

Personally, my favorite American accent is from the Texas Hill Country. Maybe Arti sounds llike that!

World wide, I'd have to say nothing sounds as good as a gal with an Austrialian accent. When I was in college, we had an exchange student at our school for a semster. Every time she spoke to me I just melted.

Jack

Nenu,

Know what you mean about to many other things to worry about. That's one of best things about having long hair. Just tie it back and get on with life. Think how much money you have saved on cosmetics and me on hair cuts.

You look really sweet in that last picture BTW, with that Mona Lisa smile.

You said it was warm enough in new Brunswick to wear you Birks without socks. What is it like up there now, in the lower 80's (F) here.

Take care,

Jack

Oh it's warm enough here. 20C today. I just always wear socks in my sandals. My feet tend to get cold, no matter how warm it is out Smile

How thick an accent are we talking? "crocodile dundee"? or "city"?

Hi Guys

Nenu, you do look very dark in that pic, so if your eyes are actually a blue/grey then you are indeed blessed with great colouring. Love the hippie look - don't have th estyle sense for it myself, so I am just plain scruffy...Had a pic in my head of it being really cold where you live, guess I have to adjust that! We are still a bit unseasonally hot here (your equivilent of Nov - Southern Hemi) and the last few days it has been hitting 30C with high humidity - just when I thought I could get out my hot water bottles!

Jack, I am very disappointed, I was hearing the lovely voice in my head, but I guess I will get over it...
Agree about the long hair - my husband is always asking me to cut mine, and I refuse because, with 2 small kids and a life to live, it is much easier not to have to style it, just clip it up!
Shannon - I have to move on to you now that Jack has let me down (glad you had a great day, but you should know better about the sunburn!) - do you have a great Texas drawl? Greta's accent must be really cool too...

Anyway...check you later my

Deep voice and Texas draw, both. Sometimes I think I sound like a hick though.
The sunburn wasn't as bad as I thought it is already gone. Guess the whiskey helped the symptoms. HEHE I'm better. Being red headed I still seem to tan fairly well.
Greta I guess has been around me so long I don't notice her accent that much. I think all Texans have a different accent depending were you are. We live so close to Louisiana that alot of our dialect comes from there.
I would love to hear everyones voice. I find it interesting how people sound. The internet is great but hard to appreciate someones sounds through a keyboard and it often lacks the luster of how someone says something too. Sometimes I can be a bit of a smartass , but who would know the difference when you can't hear me.
Wouldn't it be great if we all could meet? I know this is just dreaming but wow what a good time we would have. Lots of laughing and story telling.
later
Some of my friends say I sound like Dr. Phil if that gives you any idea of how I sound. Personaly I don't like the guy but he's from Tx and I guess we do sound alot alike.

Yep - we would be a true United Nations, talking all night round a camp fire, toasting marshmallows and hot dogs, we could sample each others wines and culinary specialities, and just chill Laughing ....
