Hello all. I posted my intro in that forum but also wanted to post here to spread the word.
ABC News Primetime interviewed me for my story in fighting MS. It is hosted by Jay Schadler and should air sometime in the next couple months. The special is titled: Chronic Lyme Disease as it Pertains to ALS and MS. Two other patients were interviewed to my knowledge and one was Amy Tan (Author Joy Luck Club) along with prominent specialists dealing with this issue.
The producer informed me she would notify me well in advance so I can notify all those out there who are interested. I hope it will shed light on this for anyone out there looking for answers.
I will post my story soon and look forward to learning all I can from many of you. I wish you all the best, Kind Regards, Karl _________________ Diag. MS 5/4/06. 23 + lesions on brain/spinal cord. Beck and all,
Thanks for the continued interest. I wish I had more details to share but it's now the waiting game.
Last note was it will not air in March but sometime in the couple months after. My theory is it will air when the show Lost is completed which puts it in May, I think.. Lost airs on the same channel, same time as the Primetime Medical Mysteries spot or vice versa. When the shows aren't on, then Primetime is on.... Just a thought.
Regardless, the producer did state many times, she will provide ample notice time in order for us to let everyone know. I think since they are finished with the taping/editing...once they have an air date ...then it won't change. But don't quote me on that.
I will be in touch as soon as I hear word one, but will be sure it is definitive.
