Dear all,

I was looking at the Australian MS society website and came across a presentation on research which made interesting reading. The website address for the article is a follows.

Good point, Finn.

I read the presentation. You know the clinical trial he mentioned was very important right now? The one comparing Copaxone with Betaseron and DOUBLE dose Betaseron! I DIED laughing! That was the trial I was almost in, and guess who is doing it? SCHERING!!! And I swear! The neuros must be TOLD what to tell patients when they ask about it. My neuro said EXACTLY what that doctor said in his presentation, when I asked him why the pharma corp. was testing a DOUBLE dose of Betaseron. He said, "It's like the chemotherapy drugs. If a little works, then maybe more works better!" Except I literally called my neuro stupid for saying something as dumb as that! (Well, what can I say..........I DO think that's a stupid response coming from a PhD in pharmacology/toxicology.) THAT'S a scientific reason for doubling a dose of a drug? Sounds more like that they are finding that the interferons aren't working that well, huh...........otherwise why the need to test a DOUBLE dose of the drug in the first place, if the standard dose does so well?

Yep.............call me skeptical.

LOL...........Finn.........

I noticed all of the same things!!! I, also, was about to post some additional examples, but.......... ended up just shaking my head and laughing.

Classic marketing!! LOL You were reading my mind! I thought, I'd LOVE to know who actually wrote that! HAH! I learned a similar technique in law, and my son learned it in a Dale Carnegie course he took not long ago (he was in retail). HAH!
