Well, apparently they sell 35mg and up iron supplements, so 35mg it is.
I'm feeling SO much better today.. and I certainly didn't get nearly enough sleep (4 hours?), which usually ends me in feeling wretched, but today I feel good. So yeah, minocycline, bad. _________________ Dx RRMS March 5, 2008. |

Glad you're feeling better, Nenu! Jeff's over his nasty headache today, too. (huge sigh of relief) Think we'll stop the mino for now.
It's like a balancing act, figuring out how to help your body. Sometimes trial and error, too. You have to be your own advocate and researcher. This site has helped me immensely.
Hope you do well on the copaxone and supplements. Jeff's done really well- 14 months, no relapse, no progression.
One day at a time!
best,

is it the waking up at 2am thing again? seriously, try bumping up your mag and zinc for a few days. ask arti if it works. or my parents for that matter hehe!
i've tested "probably deficient" for iron before. my ferrous gluconate comes in a 324mg pill "providing 37.5mg elemental iron". |

35mg of elemental iron here
The sleeping issue wasn't that I woke up, it's that I couldn't get to sleep because of the intense head pressure and burning in my mouth. It was horrendous. But today is much much better. Went to my chiro as well, and he worked over a bunch of spots on my neck and I am feeling a lot better _________________ Dx RRMS March 5, 2008. |

You're absolutely correct, I had been waking up during the night thinking I heard my doorbell ring and such. Upped my magnesium as you suggested, and taking my tryptophan nightly and seem to be sleeping well _________________ Dx RRMS March 5, 2008. |

Haha, yeah no doubt. I really wish the mouth thing would resolve itself. If it stays on this low, well I think I can manage. It's improved from what it had been before, until the minocycline _________________ Dx RRMS March 5, 2008. |

hey hopefully the iron boost helps so that you don't have to just manage, but can get rid of it altogether.
check this out

oh there's the star thing:
An asterisk (*) next to an item in the summary indicates that the interaction is supported only by weak, fragmentary, and/or contradictory scientific evidence.
i gather the calcium, iron, mag, and zinc interfere with the efficacy of minocycline as well so looks like it's a two way thing, they just don't play nice. |

Well as I said, I can deal with acne, I can't deal with not sleeping and fearing my head's going to blow up. _________________ Dx RRMS March 5, 2008. |
