When I miss an injection, I thought of doing 2 in the next 24 hours. Has anyone done this? Also, I heard their is a trial on this concept but can not find it.

Here's the info on the 40mg. (double dose) Copaxone study. The cynical part of me thinks, "Sure! More money for Teva!" but we've been looking into it since my husband is doing well on Copax, and is a big guy (6'2"- 190 lbs)
When you forget, try to give yourself the injection as soon as you remember. Don't wait until your "regular time." Copaxone dissipates in the body after 24 hours, and you want to keep levels up continually.
best,

I don't have all the info saved up on this (I know it's not like me), but I recall that it's basically fine to skip doses and make them up so long as you don't exceed 2 doses in 24 hours. We have found it simpler to do a double dose every other day. We are not worried about this, but then again, we don't feel that it's the Copaxone that's making a difference. I expect Kim to lobby to get off Copaxone in her June appt. Ken _________________ My Starting Point

I've been using Cop for years now, and have forgotten a few times. Also, if I forget to get my prescription in time, and maybe there is a holiday so the chemist is closed, I have gone without for a week without noticing any difference.
I do believe that Cop is helping me. I havn't had a real relapse since I started.
You have to take Cop for a few months before it starts to work, so I suppose it stays in your body for a long time, and missing for a day or two doesn't matter. _________________ Bibo ergo sum
