Ain't that the truth!! And that's another reason why I pay little or no attention to the trial results that come from the CRABs or Tysabri. How can one accurately determine how effective these medications are when they don't know even know the disease process?

I can't argue with that statement Cure, and what makes it all harder is that there is no generally accepted definition of the word "cure".
To some, the word "cure" means never again experiencing disease and disability progression, regardless of the degree of improvement of symptoms the future brings.
Others, including many researchers, consider anything less than marked improvement of symptoms to be a sign of treatment "failure" despite awareness that, with most any other disease, it surprises no one that damage from the disease is permanent.
The fact that reduction of inflammation results in reduction of symptoms early in the MS disease process gives people the incorrect impression that MS damage is easily reversible at any point in the course of the disease.
I've said it before but, if something like the combination of Revimmune followed by Copaxone shows the expected results, that would be a "cure" by my definition..........despite our not understanding the disease process and despite the "cause" not having been determined, therefore this "cure" certainly not involving the reverse or elimination of the original cause.
