Greetings, all. I just stumbled across this forum and thought I would say "hi". I'm a 36yo male, dx 12/99, on Copaxone now, but also using diet to do what I can. I've had a bit of a symptom flare-up recently with my stress skyrocketing. I'm trying to deal with getting disability insurance forms finished and looking at social security disability. I just can't keep the hours at work up to a managable level. I'm probably going to have to get rid of the house, too. Luckily I've been able to stay fairly positive, even though I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment.

I'll have to spend some time looking around. I like what I've seen here so far. The news page looks really useful.

Hello EVD,

Welcome to the site, and thank you for the kind words. We look forward to your participation in the community, and please let us know if you have any suggestions or comments.

Have you been on Copaxone since 99 or did you try other therapies?

I didn't like the idea of taking drugs that could make me feel even worse, so I only adjusted my diet (I was already a vegan). I did rather well with that. After a while, a friend convinced me to find a new neurologist, as I had left my old one due to his "bedside" manner. He sent me in for another MRI, and it showed some more scarring, albeit minor. I decided to try Copaxone, as it seemed to be the most likely not to cause me issues. I think that was a little over a year ago.

Welcome! What's this??? A neuro with a bad bedside manner. Surely not! Wink

You've found a great place, and I hope you continue to post here and use this forum. I do not have MS, but I have a 16 year old son who does, and I've spent the past 3 years researching myself silly.

Take care!

Kim

Thanks for the welcomes. Friday was my last day at work and my attorney now has the ball rolling for disability. This should get interesting...
